Upcoming Purchasing Classes

Nevada State Purchasing offers training to individual state agencies and employees upon request.

Certification and Re-certification for State Contract Managers

The Nevada Certified Contract Manager program is required pursuant to the State Administrative Manual for all State of Nevada employees whose primary responsibility is managing agency contracting activities. The course is designed to cover the more complex aspects of state contracting, with an emphasis on the Request for Proposal (RFP) process under the State Purchasing Act (NRS 333). Attendance of the full two-day course and a passing score on the exam is required for certification. Once certified, participants may request Contract Manager approval authority in the Contract Entry Tracking System (CETS). Re-certification is required every two years.
